SezWho.com is a useful web based application which encourages visitors to your site to participate; it also provides a community platform where all comments are grouped together. If anyone has ever read comments on your blog then they may have been interested in one particularly person and wanted to know which other blogs they have commented on. SezWho makes this possible by linking together all of the different sites so that you can find out who said what. SezWho was founded by Jitendra Gupta and Tedd Corman in October 2006, the company is currently based in California, USA. It received funding of $1 million from KPG ventures and acquired Tejit in May 2008. SezWho itself was acquired by JS-Kit in March 2009. Services were being deactivated 31 March 2009 and existing users were upgraded to JS-Kit.
Unlike other commenting services, this one also offers paid subscriptions with more advanced features. You are free to use the free service if you wish, or you can choose to use the paid plans which have more sophisticated features.
Using SezWho is very easy; you don’t even need to register for an account. The only thing that you need to do is copy and paste a short section of code into your website. This takes a few minutes and is possible even if you don’t know anything about creating websites. Once the code is installed you then have to post the first comment so that you get moderator privileges. The application is designed in a simple and easy to understand way, nobody will have any problem using it.
Signing up for an account with SezWho is really easy; it’s simply a matter of clicking the large “Getting stared button on the home page of the site. If you want to use the free service then you don’t even need to register, all you need to do is copy the small piece of code and paste it into your website. Once you have done this you simply upload your website and visit it, by posting the first comment you will get moderator privileges. If you’re creating a paid account then you will need to register the site itself on the website when you sign up. This is very straight forward.
There are a number of different packages available; the free package contains everything that most people would ever need. However the paid packages to offer some extra additional features. If you want to remove the branding and create your own white label solution then you will need to upgrade to the pro account. This costs $49 per year and offers longer comment support, email technical support, 5 photo attachments, profile customization and white label. The highest level package is called Pro+; this offers even more features including email customization. Pro+ isn’t cheap and it costs $495 per year.
